Change is in the Bear. As you’ve probably heard, our big change at Bear State is that we’re merging with Arvest Bank pending regulatory approval. What does this mean for you? This first Q&A should answer some of your more pressing questions.  We’ll be the first to admit that we don’t have all the answers today. We don’t even know all the questions yet. But not to worry, as we’ll be here with you through the transition and beyond. After all, Bears are fiercely loyal and adaptable!

The Bear has some news to share, ok, roar about! An agreement has been signed where Arvest will acquire Bear State and come together as one customer-focused bank. Embracing change is a key part of who we are at Bear State and we couldn’t be more proud to join the Arvest family.

The Bear Goes Pink for the Jonesboro Fundraising Race

Bear State Bank is going pink for the inaugural Komen North East Arkansas Race for the Cure® set for Saturday, May 6 at the Centennial Stadium on the ASU Campus in Jonesboro. Bear State is a Crystal Sponsor and a team of associates from our Jonesboro branches will run/walk in the race.

Swing into Spring with the 34th Annual SpringFest

Fayettevilles SpringFest kicks off Saturday, April 15 with a 5K run, live music, arts and crafts booths and their signature event, the bed race up Dickson Street. See the schedule below for all the events.

Support Our Troops with the Holiday Military Supply Drive in Harrison

Bear State is partnering with Cox Communications and the Army National Guard to collect items that will be sent to Arkansas National Guard troops who will be deployed over the holidays.

Boots & Bling Raised Funds for Care to Learn

Bear State Bank helped sponsor Boots & Bling, a benefit for the Care to Learn chapter in Nixa, Missouri. The evening offered live music, games, an auction and more with 100% of the proceeds donated to Care to Learn.
